GIVING THANKS
We just passed the big holiday of “Thanksgiving;” we’re officially in the holiday season. Black Friday has come and gone, and many people stocked up on consumer products at bargain prices. I didn’t buy a thing.
It’s a great time to reflect on what’s truly important, and to give official thanks for so many blessings.
Here’s a partial list of those things:
1. I’m so glad to just be alive, and to enjoy the moments of every day.
2. I’m so thankful to live in an enlightened country (relative to others), where personal freedom is cherished, if not practiced, by all.
3. I’m grateful to be living in New York City. I never thought I’d be saying that, but I am. It’s not that I couldn’t live anywhere else, but I am overwhelmed by the number of creative people doing all sorts of great stuff. It’s inspiring just to be here.
4. I’m grateful for the people who have loved me, who do love me, and who will love me.’
5. I’m grateful for all the wonderful people who have entered my life in the strangest ways to show me the way.
6. I’m grateful for all the things that I have learned, and look forward to knowing more…about everything.
7. I’m grateful that I see the connections between all people, and that there is no person or group that I hate.
8. I’m grateful to contribute to the collective consciousness, however small or large that contribution may be.
9. I’m grateful that I haven’t lost my enjoyment of life, no matter what has occurred in my life.
10. I’m grateful that I can experience cultures around the world, then come back home.
What are you grateful for?
